The McLaren 650S is an update to McLaren's first production road car, the MP4-12C. The car remains mostly the same, using the same platform and engine, and instead focuses on refining the weak points of the 12C. This includes an increase of the engines power to 650PS, a faster gearbox, higher quality brakes and stiffer dampers. Along with performance improvements the front end was also redesigned with more of a "P1" style that also gives the 650S a notable increase to front downforce over the 12C.
This particular 650S is a UK spec right hand drive model and has been fitted with the LB Works kit from Liberty Walk, a permanant modification to the original bodywork. While the kit is somewhat functional, Liberty Walk are known for taking a form over function approach to their design, usually leading to polarizing opinions among car enthusiasts. To suit the more aggressive look, Work Meister M1R wheels have replaced the factory ones and KW lowering springs were fitted to improve handling and visuals while retaining the factory spring rates. Finally the ECU has been flashed with a Weistec tune which has brought the power up to 730hp, at the cost of worse fuel consumption and failing emissions standards.
