Information for Rookie Drivers

Everyone has to start somewhere!

BLCKBOX Servers, as with many other publicly available Assetto Corsa servers, now utilise ACSR (Assetto Corsa Skills Ratings) to determine the ability of competitors before they race. The system works seamlessly in the background whenever you race on an ACSR enabled server.

As you race you are scored on both skill and safety and then given a rank and grading accordingly.

You must compete in no less than 8 ACSR Events in order to gain your first rating. During this period you are given a provisional status. This does not mean you can compete in any ASCR Rated Competitions, you must first complete all 8 events.

We are now running ACSR Championships specifically for provisional competitors and rookies on a weekly basis. These events are designed to help get you your ACSR Rating as quickly as possible!

More information about Assetto Corsa Skill/Safety Ratings can be found here.

In addition, the BLCKBOX Championships have adopted the Motorsport UK ‘Race ’N’ Respect’ campaign where drivers, teams and supporters are asked to abide by a racing code. The code is based on strong values of respect, fair play, self-control, sincerity and good manners.
