The 1983 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 37th season of FIA Formula One motor racing. It featured the 1983 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1983 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a fifteen-race series that commenced on 13 March and ended on 15 October. Nelson Piquet won the Drivers' Championship, his second Formula One title and the first to be won by a driver using a turbocharged engine, while Ferrari won the Constructors' Championship. It was also the last Drivers' Championship won by a Brabham driver.

BLCKBOX Sim-Racing hosts several on-line events for competitors. If you require an ASCR (Assetto Corsa Skill Rating) in order to compete, contact us on Discord and we'll get you your grading with one of our special ACSR Provisional Championships!

A BLCKBOX ACSR Championship for this championship series is not currently planned.

BLCKBOX Sim-Racing Event Regulations

BLCKBOX Sim-Racing events use a point scoring system based on the 2023 FIA rules. The event timetable and series schedule are loosely based on the actual 2023 events.

Competitor Classes

Once you have downloaded the .ZIP file containing the championship to your desktop, open it and copy and paste the contents to your "This PC\Documents\Assetto Corsa\champs" using File Explorer. You will also need to download and install the nescessary cars and tracks shown on this championship series page in order for you to compete off-line.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to a weird glitch with Content Manager, click the "Reset" button on the selected championship to enable the A.I. settings before starting the championship.
